We left Chez Julien for a walk over the Ile Saint Louis where there were buskers galore, even a fellow playing classical music on a piano in the middle of the pont behind the Notre Dame. When we Australians would normally be having an afternoon siesta, it was the opposite here, the city was alive with people ...

... lunch at La Flotille which was really nice with a beautiful atmosphere. After lunch, the 2nd half of the walk up to the Chateau was really incredible. A massive green space that includes the Grand Canal made for an idyllic stroll up to the main palace. As we approached the chateau, you can't help but get lost in the gardens of Versailles.
