Another slow rise this morning. Our first stop was to a pharmacy. That's probably the most difficulty I'll have with communication this trip. Thankfully I've had a lot of practice using lady bit hand gestures. I was overwhelmed with excitement when she finally figured out what I was asking for. My face was so flushed. I just kept saying thank you and bowing like a FOB. Talk about showing my true colours. The King had gone ...

Bonjour! That is pretty much the extent of my French. Somehow though I've managed to survive the last few days with Sophie's help. Before we got to Paris though we enjoyed a quick stop in Geneva. I kept thinking about how much I wanted that watch since I had seen it. I took the train back to the swanky Champs-Élysées, and marched right back into the Swatch store with a huge smile on my face. "I'm back for it!" I told the asian woman who had helped me the day before. I was much more excited about the whole ordeal than she was. I asked to get a ...

Today we headed to Versailles. In order to get there we had to switch trains to the RER and get different tickets. As we were stood by the ticket machine this young man approached us with a cup, obviously begging. The scary thing is he looked completely normal. I told Eli and we both held our stuff close by as we stood at the ticket machine. While we were discussing which ticket to buy he pressed the button and was telling us this ...
