    ... and the dog only needs to run somewhere into the line to get hit. But your line needs to be at dog eye level to work because a body shot doesn't burn. My first attempt was about 3 feet in front of the dog, who was chasing me from behind. It ran into the mist after 2-3 gallops and immediately stopped rather than continue into discomfort.     Still on our way to Nashvegas!!! Made some pit stops along the way in Ohio for gas and restrooms!! We saw the Cinncinatti Reds and Cinncinati Bengals stadiums along the way!! Stopped in Northern Kentucky for some lunch at Firehouse Subs!!!! Got back on the highway heading south towards Nashville and saw signs for the Jim Beam distillery so of course we had to go!!     We departed Ohio today and headed for the 10th state on our summer vacation road trip: The Bluegrass state of Kentucky.

    Before leaving Cincinnati we had breakfast at an interesting restaurant called Sugar n' Spce which had a kid-fun theme as you can see in my pictures. Along with cartoon characters painted on the wall were rows of small rubber ducks.     ... wish to go to the Kentucky Derby someday wearing a big hat. Until then, this will do. We didn't want to stay long or do any tours so we went to the gift shop for post cards. Did I mention that the kids write themselves postcards in every state and send them postmarked from that state? Pretty neat getting home to a bunch of postcards to themselves.

    ... about two minutes, but race fans throw big parties to watch it on TV. The winning horse receives a blanket made out of 554 roses, so the race is also called the Run for the Roses. This year, a horse named California Chrome was the winner.
