We enjoyed a pleasant cycle up the coast following the "velocean" cycle path past grazing cows, salt marshes and tidal flats where the ocean recedes up to 3 kl and makes possible the harvest of the region's ample supply of oysters and clams. A few very short conversations with friendly locals were highlights as I struggled to understand their enthusiastic explanations of the region ...
