    ... bummed that Rory pulled out of the British Open as he would have been fun to watch and cheer for with all the Irish citizens that I'm sure attend the event. Imperial is planning on organizing a little soccer match in Hyde park this week between ND, Georgia Tech, and Cornell so hoping that plan comes to fruition as I haven't touched a ball in a while now.     ... and width with our estimation being a height of 12m. We can't even estimate how wide or deep but it allowed eight horses to gallop at full speed around and across the stage between many actors. It is very difficult to describe accurately but it was HUGE!! When we entered this theatre the stage appeared to be a 'normal' stage but towards the end of the show it started 'raining' on the stage so that by the end of the production the horses and actors ...

    ... Le Bal des Oiseaux Fantomes was a show incorporating birds of prey. If you think of the Birds of Prey at Healesville then multiply it by 50 in grandeur, number of birds used, storyline added, music ... it is a totally amazing and unbelievable show!!! Got the picture??!! The show concluded with between 50 and 100 birds of a variety of species flying overhead and all around the site - they were all different sizes and some with HUGE wingspans and you ...

    ... trucks were having a break. Only one toll ticket for 3.5 hours and as we got near Nantes we came off to go to the lovely town of Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu we had to pay €51.50 for our days work.

    ... done! I had a Post office Travel Card which I loaded with Euro's prior to leaving and this could be used to get cash or pay for items like a switch card. I had twice tried to pay for fuel with it but it was declined. I subsequently located a cash point and it worked - will be calling them when I get back.
