A travel blog entry by celinevdboel on Apr 10, 2015

    Hi you all.

Here I am. My new blog but now about my life as an Au Pair in America.
In about 9 days I leave this beautiful country named the Netherlands. The countdown is started yiehaaa.
I was always convinced that I knew where I would be the next few years. But taking this amazing year abroad I really don't know it yet. But hey let's say: sometimes it's better to leave ...

    ... towns.

Polishing off my capaccino, I make my way across the square. I enter the Basilica of Saint Severaas and taken in the wealth in the treasury. It is chalk full of gold boxes, large oil paintings and wooden carvings. Down some winding stairs I arrive in the basement where the foundation dates back to the 300s. I am comforted to see it has been reinforced and the old walls are merely ...

Day 1 - Maasbracht to Maastricht

... that! Next morning we see the public moorings about 100 yards downstream and move there before anybody spots that we're trespassing. Lunch out in Maastricht today, sitting outside under heaters - great 3 course set lunch. Weather freezing and wet. We've decided to move on in the morning so that there's no chance of cruising in the dark ...
