Day 3 The Biggest Yet!!
... roads are brick or cobblestone...and there is no separate sidewalk....it's all just the stones. We have a picture of John at less than a year old in a walker on those very kind of stones....weird! We had another traditional and delicious Bavarian meal, this time served to us by a Romanian...we found many fewer people who could speak fluent English in this small country town, but most appeared glad to have the chance to use what they could remember. Oktoberfest!!

We window shopped our way back (only stopping at 2 churches for mom and dad). We had a very hearty dinner at the wirtshaus of sausages, schnitzel, spetzel, and goulash. We passed the block-long dance studio on our walk back to the hotel.
I thought it was a great first day, and had a lot of fun in Munich.

... for the Hofbrauhaus that you should not miss. The atmosphere is unreal. When we were there, we were sat at a table next to a big group of Germans. They were all in Lederhosens singing drinking songs at the top of their lungs, drumming a beat with silverware, plates, and whatever was near them. It was so much fun. Even if you do not like to drink alcoholic beverages, experiencing something like this should not go unseen.
