    ... expensive ( minimum €69) and I did not think I had the budget for it so did not get it but I am regretting it massively now. Oh well, a reason to go back. The ring is a puzzle ring, 4 rings that when the puzzle is complete makes one ring. A king had this ring made especially for his wife's to find out who was being unfaithful.     Mark here: Breakfast at Rinascente rooftop.. great view of the duomo....today we split up and each had our own experience...Cat went to the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore and then to a traveling Picasso exhibit at the Palazzo Strozzi and I went to climb to the top of the Florence dome. It was not an easy climb (466 steps). Hot and humid and no air in the halls climbing to the top. I'm also a little claustrophobic!!!!!!! But, it was ...

    ... this property right in the middle of Florence. It felt like it went on for miles with mazes and statues, fountains, terraces and even an island. Although we were tired we could not persuade ourselves to leave the gardens before closing time, at every turn there was something new and unexpected. We also had a great view back over the city. Finally we were getting hungry so we ventured back to our hotel to get ready for dinner.

    ... my needs/desires. Having said that, will visit the Uffizzi with great pleasure tomorrow and maybe the otherwise of the river the next day, Masaccio and The lovely rose and other gardens and views of those Tuscan hills...ahhhhh
    Tomorrow we plan a day tongue sole! the very nearby Tuscan hills to get out of the city.
