The weather here has been marvelous. Mid 70's and beautiful blue skies. We have only had a few days of light rain, and the rest of our trip has been great. The only thing missing is the full Fall colors. That would have made today perfect. We saw ...

We were on the road at around 08:30 again this morning and made our way back to cycleway 22. We awoke early in a truck stop where we had stopped for the night due to some thick flog on the previous evening that virtually left visibility at one to two meters. A family had pulled in behind us to make their breakfast. With our shame gone now we are happy to roll out of the van rubbing sleep out of eyes as they stared over their morning baguettes. We had planned to see the Tour the next ...

... the citadel above the town. Would we beat the storm?

Well, someone must have been watching over us again, for large raindrops started to fall as we approached the town and not long after arriving at our hotel a big thunderstorm hit. The receptionist who I had spoken to some hours earlier to explain our dilemma when checking to see if our room was available for two nights and not just the one originally booked, greeted us warmly. After what had turned out to be ...
