    An easy holiday

We have stayed at this Resort on several occasions now and we have always been pleased with the service and cheerful personalities of the reception staff. Unfortunately on this occasion the Swim Pool was not available for a number of days but the Company did arrange for us to use the WaterMark Hotel Pool just across the road. We had a one bedroom unit and have found this Unit extremely large and it exceeded my expectations prior to going there. As usual all the facilities were there and usable with the exception of the pool.

Today we start our 2014 European Tour from Surfers Paradise with Jackie not making it at this stage due to her visiting Pip in NZ who is very sick in Christchurch Hospital. We being all the family are feeling very sorry for Pip and her family and home some relief can be found for their suffering soon.

... tied up (temporarily) at Boatwaorks. Peter, Gail and Jean came down to pick Dave up and have coffee. Small whoopsie, no coffee aboard. No problem, "The Galley" serves great coffee. Ran into Dave and Sue on Duet, Lance on Kia Orana, and ROb and Anne on Take 2, so hosted everyone for a dinner that night. Next morning early, moved to a more long term berth before leaving Wishful and heading for a meeting. The journey from Sydney was almost over. Just a lot of work in front of ...

After returning to Brisbane it only took an hour to reach Surfers Paradise. We had decided to try out 'couch surfing' - an official website where people let you sleep on their couch or spare room for a few nights. We wanted to try it out as a way of getting to know the area we are staying in better and getting to meet interesting people (plus it's free which is a massive bonus!) Our couch surfing host, Brad, kindly picked us up from the bus station and showed ...

Started off bright and early for a 4WD trip up Tamborine mountain. Never been on a 4WD bus before but we bounced our way to the top. Mick our tour guide with Southern Cross was excellent. We stopped briefly for tea and scones atop Tamborine mountain at the Old Church Restaurant. Tamborine mountain is home to about 4,000 people according to our guide. Afterward, we drove over to ...
