A tranquil haven in busy Queenstown

As you enter the long, tree-lined drive it is surprising that such a peaceful, secluded spot could be tucked away in the middle of what is quite a busy area. From the moment of arrival we were made so welcome that we felt completely at home and the staff were always on hand to help in any way they could. Nothing was too much trouble for them and attention to detail was obvious in every aspect of our stay. Our private villa was spacious and comfortable with elegant furnishings and everything you could wish for already on hand or if it wasn't then we only had to ask! The lake and mountain view from our villa terrace was stunning! Breakfast was excellent, as was afternoon tea and the canapes which came later. We have no hesitation in recommending Azur to anyone who enjoys peace and beautiful surroundings and also likes to be spoiled a little!

Breathtaking views fresh air and hilarious people who wouldn't love New Zealand.
As most of you know we this is one of the two legs of our journey that had to be adjusted due to natural disasters. We had originally booked our Christchurch and a ski resort for 5 days. But with the devastation hitting christchurch we had to re consider and reg...

          Hi guys,

Another overdue update. I'm currently in Queenstown, which has to be the most beautifully-sited city anywhere in this country - it is absolutely stunning round here, and whatever photos I get time to upload will show you just that. Sadly there is no snow due to the freaksihly-warm winter they're still having here, and the local...

Once again the bed was comfy. I woke about 8.30am but didn't get up until almost 10am what with doing things on the laptop. I was the only one in the dining room, I wonder if I was the only guest in the hotel actually.

After breakfast I went back to my room to take advantage of the internet whilst I had it. I checked out at midday &...

Today was a day of poor timing; well at least for half of it. When we woke up Tamara wanted to go skydiving at the glacier but they were being unresponsive and then decided she needed 3 more people to be able to go. So we had to scrap that plan for her to go in Wanaka (near Queenstown) and we needed to get on the road ASAP to be able to make it ...
