Started as a normal road for this holiday, Sandy had a route picked that took us along some back roads, through some little villages....and today was fine sunny and with beautiful blue sky We started out of Sisteron towards Thoard, it was a tight and very windy road. The usual meet-up at 7pm for dinner resulted in most of us finding our way to Café Belle Epoque and Barry, Peter and Sue (and perhaps Mark) trying an Indian restaurant. I had a fine thin-crust pizza and talked with Jill about our dogs (hers is named Hudson). Eventually Linda and Dave came by and so did Barry who reported very tasty food at the Indian place...who knew, good Indian food in France!

... and we headed to Forcalquier. By the time we got there, the lunch siesta was about to start but we grabbed a couple of small quiches from the Boulangerie before she closed and took out food to the local bar. You can bring food because he doesn't sell food, but happy to sell us a coffee.

Nevertheless I arrived at the hotel dry and unscathed, only minutes ahead of both the rain and the van, which was pretty good timing indeed.

The others, I am sad to report, once again did not fare as well, but at least no one encountered the hail that had preceded our arrival. And if the forecast holds true, this should the last of the wet weather, at least for a wile.
