... Catbird posed for us. A fisherman's path led over sand dunes to a beach at the north end of the spit. The sun came out to reveal a breathtaking view of New York City. A pair of ospreys were fishing, while some fishermen examined a stranded yacht in the foreground. Surreal! We took more photos of the lighthouse in the sun, then decided to head south along the NJ shore to see if we could ...

It's already almost Mid-September, so in my book that means it’s finally safe to go to the beach in New Jersey. The weather is comfortable warm and dry instead of unbearably hot and sweaty, ocean temperatures are still near their warmest, the beach badge patrol Nazis have retired for the season, and the mobs of Snooki and Situation wannabes have gone back to the pizzerias and tanning beds in the New York and Philly 'burbs.

Food allergies are such a blessing ...

... lane (of three lanes) and GPS ***** announces I need to turn left at the next lights, about 30m away. I glance to my left and see a BMW I have no chance of taking in my **** car. So when the lights changed, I pulled a move I've actually seen done in New York. I got behind the BMW in the middle lane, put my indicator on to go left, drove all the way forward, beside the lane of cars that were turning left WHERE I WAS MEANT TO BE, ...

... we had planned on doing.
I can't go into too much detail, but one of the video technicians from KISS's crew was let go, and yesterday was his last show. His parting gift to us was an unexpected image at the end of the show that threw us all off. Needless to say he will never work in the industry again.
Now that the show is over, I am heading to my hotel room to get a couple of hours rest before heading home for a four day break. ...
