... realize how normal we are. Others on the tour were a South African man, a Canadian, two Irish guys, a Brazilian girl, a couple from las Vegas, and a few Australians. Overall a great day and a nice drive through parts of Aussie we wouldn't have seen otherwise.

Off in the distance we could see what looked like haze, but was actually the dust storms from Brisbane moving our way.

Our next stop is surfers paradise for 3 nights. It's about a 2 hour bus ride north.

The Greyhound bus arrived in Byron Bay really early, at 7:30am. The weather was slightly cloudy, although Byron Bay was still great to walk around. The great draw about Byron Bay is its really relaxed atmosphere and has a hip surfer town feel to it. Byron Bay is a hip and happening place with good surf, clubs and lots of hippies! We arrived on sunday to find a market that only happens once a month and it was busy with many stalls especially tarot card readers. ... zorbing' which is basically rolling down a massive hill in a giant plastic ball..... sounds fun! It was a pretty awesome experience although it was a little bumpy at times! It was a good way to ease ourselves into adrenaline-rush activities before we decide to bungee or skydive in NZ! Our next stop is Surfers Paradise.... Australia's answer to Las Vegas! ... NSW und fahren dann über Foster, Taree und Port Macquarie nach South West Rocks. Am nächsten Tag regnet es in Strömen, gehen aber trotzdem im Dorrigo Nationalpark ein Stück laufen. Danach gehts über Coffs Habour - der Bananen Stadt- nach Byron Bay, eine alte Hippie und Surferstadt.
