... outside when a young assistant explained that it was on an upstairs level because the area was flood prone. Rest of the journey serious rain and glad to arrive in Ballina. Found a very nice Richmond Motel , owned by a very nice couple and Marie made us most welcome. But it still kept raining HEAVY. We had picked Motel location right opposite RSL. Went there for lunch. It is a superb club nothing like this in the whole of UK. Dashed back to our ...
... move out of G's apartment that wasn't in the plan to happen so quickly.
Today it is very quiet around camp but this weekend is apparently some water sporting event so we are enjoying the peace and tranquility. We can feel the weather cooling, it was 7 deg when we woke up this morning but nice enough later that Graeme did have a swim in the beach. ... Next it was up the sandy slope to see the famous 'Surf Club' owed and run by the long staring Alf Stewart! Sadly there was no filming on the beach that day so our chances of becoming Home & Away extras were diminished but it was great to see this yellow sanded beach anyway it in the flesh and have a good sing song!
Next stop, Sydney and the ever impending question..."where we gonna sleep tonight?!"
