... or so people there knew every word. It finished early at 9pm so we continued to look around. For a small place it was heaving due to the festival. There was another silent disco going on down a thriving pedestrian back street. This one was free so we had a go. The music was dire unfortunately. No popping shapes today. Instead we listened to the band that was playing for an hour or so before calling it quits. We had done well to stay out that ...

... d visited, but I wasn't particularly bothered about it anyway and didn't feel too much that I was missing out on an amazing opportunity. I was sad to be leaving the girls, but I knew they'd be heading to Byron Bay in a few days so I was hoping to meet up with them again. We were taken about a 30 minute drive away from the town to ...

... Lovely town - quiet, laid back, relaxed. Wide streets that open onto the Richmond River, and a lovely long walking path to the stone wall where it opens to the sea. Many lovely beaches, both river and surf, but not really warm enough to swim yet. It is the home of the Big Prawn, and many regular sized prawns also at the fisherman's co-op.

Lennox Heads - really small town between Ballina and Byron, even quieter and more relaxed than Ballina. ...

After a stunning few weeks traveling through Queensland, we reached the state of New South Wales. Our first port of call was a place that stood out on the map to me, way back from we first started driving in OZ. The city of Surfers Paradise was our destination. What a name to live up too!

The area was very built up but still had that real chilled out vibe you would expect ...
