Hope. Fear. Excitement. This will be the first time I have traveled out of the country for any length of time and it's definitely leaving me with conflicting emotions. I quit my job, moved to Seal Beach, and now Chris and I are about to embark on this amazing journey together: 13 countries. 27 cities. 8 weeks. I have no idea what to expect but I do know our experience will be life changing. We will be together, living in the moment, meeting new friends and exploring ...

    Disneyland Theme Park

I woke up to find a message offering me a deputy position at Good Shepherd for 6 months. Naturally I said yes please!! Always up for a challenge. Lol. Anyway it will help pay for this holiday and I won't have to teach. Off we went to California Disney a massive theme park next to Disneyland. Cherry made me go on the scariest roller coaster I had ever seen as soon as we walked in. I didn't open my eyes the entire time but she loved it and was super ...

We had only been on the ride two minutes and it broke down… there we sat slightly suspended in our capsule hoping this wasn’t going to be a premature end to the ride. Another log flume style ride, you visit brer rabbit and critters country, ...

... look of Melbourne. And palm trees everywhere...everywhere. Also very hot. Unrelentingly hot. We could not check into our hotel when we arrived so we walked like the living dead across the road and into Downtown Disney (this is what they call it here...they use 'downtown' instead of 'city' or 'cbd'). My first impressions of Disneyland is that it's like Movieworld on the Gold Coast, but on mega steroids. It is just FULL ON, OTT. I am trying to ease my way out ...

We were there for waffles again on another early morning. The trip on the roads was the usual circus but we made good time. Talking on the way in we did forget to say that we saw another TV person, Chuck Lorre. He's a creator (Big Bang, Two and a Half, Mike and Molly) but has done a lot of things including writing and has a couple of shows in production at Warner at this time. He smiled and nodded at us as we walked past and said hello (he was literally two ...
