We had a heck of a rainstorm last night in Olympos; but it didn't delay the plan to travel westward on the Med. So, here we are in Kas, a beautiful quiet sleepy town with a yacht basin filled with sailboats.

The hostel is Beautiful. I think the best I have ever stayed in. And the price isn't too bad, although it is the off season. This Might be It- the place I have been looking for. But, of course, it's too early to tell.

Kas, Antalya, Turkey jathomaz... 5 days (36 degrees celsıus) and the sun ıs a kıller. It ıs well worth ıt though. Each day, dıfferent landscape and a most welcomıng people so dıfferent from us. We have walked the last 5 days mostly ın the mountaın and we sweat lıke never before, mornıng to nıght. The effort ıs well worth ıt and food ıs great most of the tıme. Lodg ...
Alınca-Patara-Kalkan-Kas, Antalya Province, Turkey lerouxsimard... mean long hikes and this was no exception. We were perched on the hill above the beach and set out one day in search of a swim in the sea, 1 1/2 hours later down a long and winding road we reached the beach and cooled off, on the way back we chose the shorter path - what a mistake - it only took us 1/2 an hour but it was so steep and challenging we were both on the verge of death by the time we reached the village. Luckily ...

Megísti (Kastelorizo), Greece pmitroulias... he had carried out, kept setting off those “Carpe Diem!” bells in my head! Paragliding, instantly, topped my “best-things-to-do” list!

* The travel article above is available for publishing, with or without photos. Oludeniz, Turkish Aegean Coast, Turkey travelens... and turn them into wine. Very cool!

When I got back to the resort, my body full of oxygen and forest prana, it dawned on me that this resort, as well as the shiploads of resorts that cover this area, was created because of these mountains and gorgeous beaches. Alas, the nature quickly becomes the forgotten backdrop here as the bars and the dining rooms take center stage in Kemer. Most people who come here, in fact, never bother to step out of the resort.
Kemer, Antalya, Turkey yorronIt was so good the first time I had to do it again, although on this occasion I didn't have a horrendous hang-over to deal with on the first day. So with the sun blazing we boarded the boat for a few more days relaxing on the Med. With a tally system on the bar, whereby if you take a beer from the fridge you mark it next to your name ...
Kale, Turkey nickyates... fast, 1 kid down 3 to go. From there we went onto the sunken city which really is **** and not the highlight of the trip even though it's sold that way. The boat had a 'glass bottom' which was nothing more than a 10cm square piece of glass wedged into the bottom of the boat which 20 people had to crowd around. When you did muscle in to have a look all you could see was crumbling rocks and broken pottery. Great stuff.. Next was our lunch spot for a lovely Turkish BBQ ...
Kas, Turkey natandkat... the bow and the stern (front and back) above. We signed up for the typical three night, four day 'blue' cruise from Feyithe to Demre, near Olympos and for those with dirty minds, it doesn't mean a porno boat, just that it gets out of the coves and hits the blue waters of the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas. Our first stop was the soaring peaks and white sand beach of ...
