... have missed it when you reach the next thing on the map. The only thing that is well signposted around here are the wineries.
We have a couple of days to transfer things from van to car and not in use things into the van for storage. Because it was a fairly quick decision to go to Kangaroo island we have a full freezer so the van has to stay plugged into 240volt power incase there is not enough light for the solar panels to run it.

Today is our second last day. We had a quick look through Deniliquin, and a coffee and morning tea. The coffee was good, though not as good as at Mendindee. We we headed to Benalla to wash the cruiser. It was a little dirty and covered with bugs. We arrived in Tatong around 2. A night of semi-camping. We have normal showers, toilets, table and chairs, but get to have a final night in the camper. It was great to catch up with the Judy & ...

After this gig I picked Anne up from the Bowls Club and we returned to Jaffa who had been on caravan watch-dog duty.

... right on the King River and it is beautiful. Spent half an hour with the binoculars watching the wrens skittering along the River bank catching bugs. There are camp fire sites where people have put stone circles in, but the sky is full of smoke and there is a total fire ban, so another time. Tomorrow we will find a final free campsite before we are loaded onto the Spirit of Tasmania for our maiden voyage ...

... came up to me and said that it felt like they had known me for years rather than just a few days and that I fit right in. What a relief! Haha the banter between the three of us continued the entire week and I felt right at home! Benalla was an average town, with not too much in it to do or to see. Everything was very green, which I loved to brag about to people at home since a foot or two of snow had dumped on them in a matter of a few hours. (I'm sorry to hear that haha) ...
