... and gloves! It gets dark around 4pm, which also seems a bit strange. Apparently the worst weather is yet to come. We are now researching jobs, looking around Edinburgh and areas surrounding Penicuik. The supermarket is proving a novelty with different types of food, much more variety than NZ. We have also skyped home a few times. It feels weird not to be working yet, but I'm sure we will both be working soon.

so today was a typical scottish day apparently with the weather, cold, rainy and windy. so what did we do, did we sit around and complain bitterly? heck no, we went golfing. and for those that know me know that i am a fair weather golfer.....but i wasnt going to let mother nature win on this one and get between golf and playing with my son in scotland. so i picked trev up this morning at 8am and brought him back to the hotel and fed him some scottish ...
woke up this morning (that was a relief) and went and had a scottish breakfast....not too bad, kept me full till dinner.......scrambled eggs, potato scone, baked beans, 1 sausage, 1 piece of bacon, some haggis with a toasted tomato, toast and tea and some rubarb yogurt (that was very yummy!!) drove to the hamilton golf course, no problems with that at all i am proud to say, and watched ...
