... I met in the hostel when I came to New York and he was the last person I saw apart from Stuart who we are spending the next 8 days together. Going to be fun. Travelling around New York. So I have 8 days until I have to get back on a flight to Heathrow and see my family and friends. Back to the hockey training and season, aching feet and the winter seasons of rain and snow in England. Peace ...

... the car because I couldn't reach, need longer arms lol.) we took the first exit about 1 mile down the road and pulled over to set the GPS, we had travelled 2 mile and the GPS said we had to travel 39 mile to get back, another adventure by Gayle lol. We found many shops along the way, including a quilt shop and arrived back at the motel over 3 hours later.

We have travelled over 10,00 kilometres now.

... up the rowing concept quickly. We were in hysterics as we speared off course or started going around in circles now and then. By the end of the hour though we were all 'experts' and ready for the next Olympics trials. Dinner was in Little Italy which just happened to be holding the 86th San Gennaro street festival. It runs along Mulberry St for 5-6 blocks and it quickly became apparent that each block had the same set of stalls, sausages, cannoli, Italian Cafe/bar, T-shirts, ...

... style cheese ) with onion and pepper a local specialty. There are many beer or wine cooked specialties all are delicious. My favorite is the roast goose. Dessert is obviously the apple strudel.

Dinner for two is rather inexpensive at $ 40 USD and a beer belly.

... on at length here, but, do yourself a favor and make certain your quads, hamstrings, glutes and calves are fit before tackling this trek. Honestly, the trek is not overly intense. What makes the trek feel tense if the fact that your oxygen intake will be considerably lower than normal (assuming you live relatively close to sea level). You will already have to worry about pulling enough air during your hike...do you really want to worry about aching ...
