Avion Brno

I'm actually typing this between Prague and Brno, but I will change buses a Brno, and head towards Vienna from there...

I love internet on buses, but this one isn't that great, and cuts out pretty often...

... maybe 20 minutes by motorboat, winding in and out of flooded caverns and grottos. The cave system stretches for 38km under the hills, though we didn't travel nearly that far. Eventually we saw light at the end of the tunnel and arrived back almost where we had started, some hour or more previously.

There remained only a hairy cable car ascent back up the gorge to where we had left the car.

There was time to kill before our tour of the cave. There are a number of caves in the area with different attributes. One has fine stalagnates, another a collection of cave bear skeletons and a third some evidence of habitation. I would like to see them all, one day, but I could imagine the youngest kids' response to more than one cave viewing in a day.

... I finally manage to stand up, only to realize that the tube is nowhere to be seen. I look around, and after a minute or so the tube pops out of the rapids and shoots downstream. I can't swim after it because the water is too shallow and the current too strong, plus I'm barefoot and the rocks on the riverbed are very sharp and the tube is quickly disappearing downstream.
