    ... there were 14 chapels built and was used as a place of worship. The whole arena was covered in white marble but when it was hit by a series of earthquakes which is how half of it has fallen, Vatican City removed the marble for use there. Pretty cool history. After this we headed back to the city.     ... within Barcelona which provided magnificent views right across the massive port, as well as the whole city. It provided a fantastic panoramic view of the city.

    We returned to the ship at around 4.30pm. Claire was ruined by that time. We also had to do a fair amount of walking in addition to the bus ride. This was too much for Claire, therefore she sat in a coffee shop with a couple of other ladies while we visited the Gothic section of the city. ...

    ... as a problem. Interesting the cops are in all sorts of vehicles like little buggies they travel along the sand on, to walking, to their standard cars. They are an obvious presence which makes the tourists feel quite safe.

    Richard and I had a couple of beers under cover before heading back with the thousands of others just at that beach alone. Barcelona has about seven beaches stretching a few kilometres along the coast.

Adam is strategizing how best to support his team from afar--it seems that sleeping in his Canadiens shirt has not proven a good tactic!?! Thanks for your influences Maco and Poppa--this kid's passion is very real even on another continent. Mike seems quite keen to tune into the game at 2am too.
