... class and economy arrangements. It doesn’t really matter all that much - the service, the comfort, the friendliness, the ability to find help in English is utterly amazing to me. All of this in 22 years! It is a total transformation. Throughout China and Hong Kong we see modern banking and telecommunications, organized urban centers, and middle class Chinese tourists. We feel very safe walking on the streets, even late at night, ...

When Kath finished school at 5 we went over to her friend Mia's coffee shop and sat & chatted till we met some of the guys for dinner at the Turtle restaurant. The food was excellent, except for the Tofu skin dish, lucky me got shouted again, this time $6 each. Not bad for a belly full.

... though so I picked up a few things there.
Then, I spent the afternoon at the coffee shop talking to Morgan and Ginger. I saw on the news today, that Beijing was having it's worst pollution day ever. It is pretty bad here so it must be that way all over China at the moment. I think the cold air traps everything down just like it does at home. At least they are calling it pollution now and not fog. The locals here don't say ...
