    Today started with a short bus ride from the ship to a walking point up to Weltenburg Abbey. Weltenburg Abbey is the oldest monastery in Bavaria. Here we had the opportunity to sample the monks dark beer which has won awards along with a big bread pretzel that went well with the beer.     Once organized we jumped in the car to head
    to, yep you guessed it, another brewery (!), this time a family run brewery,
    Jacob, where nobody spoke English in town and we were really grasping at straws
    to find where to go and what to order. A bier garden in the sunshine on another
    lake of the area, it felt more of an adventure with a clear language barrier in
    a tiny isolated town.

    ... Dieter gave us. She started at the old, original gate built by the Romans.
