Day three and we're on our way through the dry and desolate landscape, yet surprisingly beautiful with a multitude of rocky, outcrops and hills with the occasional desert quiver plant peeking through. ... So we head over there and we wait and wait and wait. We hear talk that SAA gave everyone boarding passes and got us to the airport as it shut everyone up for a couple hours. Frick. But the plane arrives!!! YAY!!! And we board and take off. Meanwhile while we were waiting for our plane to arrive me and bookie compared books we've read and checked out the BBC list of 100 books to read... ... from the heli place to suggest we came around 1230 so we had a quick juice and headed to the pick up spot. There wasn't much waiting around before we were up and away. Today we were going to take the cable car up to Table Mountain, however rained most of day. So our tour guide Steph took us on a scenic drive. We visited Bo Kaap the colourful suburb of the city then went on to the castle of good hope. We then drove around to Hout Bay and had fish and chips for lunch. Delicious.
