... left to fill in the afternoon. Turns out we were right about the appeal, but we did some shopping and were back bi about 4pm.
At shortly after 5:00 we headed to the pub for dinner, which serves an awesome grilled haddock
with chips and mushy peas. Now at 7pm, we are in our room having coffee/tea and winding down.
Off to York tomorrow !
There is a lovely pace of life in the Cotswolds and the lanes and roads are quintessential England: trees that meet over the road and feels like you are driving inside a green tunnel. The honey coloured stone lets you know exactly where in England you are even if you don't have a map or a GPS. After having a lovely meander through the stone-walled lanes and wandering though an open garden, I set off for a short drive to the Cotswold Wildlife Park. ...
... went round the prop and we had no steerage. We gathered some plums, and then removed a large sheet or curtain off the propeller.
The water was very clear, so we could see various objects in the canal, including a child car seat, a fridge, an open umbrella and the inevitable plastic bags. We had to travel slower than usual to avoid stirring up things on the bottom.

The drive to stay with Sheila and Charlie Peacock,wasn't to long and took us through some beautiful country side and quaint villages.
We arrived at the Peacocks late arvo to a big pot of tea that was just what we needed. After settling in Charlie took us on a walk of the this old Market Town., While Sheila cooked up a great home cooked roast, soup and desert....yum!
The town is small ...
... way to keep people connected to their community rather than shut away.
The last part of the day really turned into four seasons in one afternoon let alone a day... We manage to ride through sunshine, rain and hail, the latter thankfully for a short period only. We are very happy to have invested in good raincoats to keep out the wind and the rain.
