An Ultimate Beauty

A travel blog entry by taylor.prichard

... ever.

All joking aside, I have to admit that I was impressed by Lisbon’s transportation system, with its numerous quirks and unique features. Admittedly I did not use much of the metro rail while in Lisbon, possibly only riding it once when our group decided to use it, but it seemed as though it was a useful and clean train system. More impressively, however, Lisbon is home to a few funiculars, one of which was right next to our hostel. Had I known ...

Surfers Paradise and Beautiful Views

... sat on the boardwalk for a while and watched the groups of people come in and claim their part of the beach for the day. There was even one gentleman who had so much sunscreen on he looked like a ghost walking around the beach. The yellow suit didn't help either, almost blending in. Day 3 was out day out to Sintra. It is a beautiful small town with a couple of Royal Summer palaces and a Moorish Castle. Definitely foggy so we are asking Bob and Tina to show us pictures of the view when they go. It was ...

And the Portuguese are some of the friendliest people I can recall meeting in Europe. On top of all of that, it's quite a bit cheaper, as well. I had heard it described as a slightly cheaper, more relaxed version of Spain. I would have to agree.

My room was located on a busy – by Lisbon standards - little cobble stoned ...
