Maria, Maria, Maria! The Best Guide in Girona!
... have a local showing you around! With a predominant Catalán culture seen everywhere through flags, language and flyers, this small river bound city is a breath of fresh air nestled on the frontier of the Pyrenees in comparison with the big metropolitan centre of Barcelona.
I was fortunate to have Maria meet me at the Girona Train Station where shortly after we enjoyed the most incredible Patata Bravas and some Bocadillos at one of her favourite restaurants "König". Then ...
Calonge to I'Estratit to Cadaques to Berger
... journey to get there. We hadn't realise the road to Cadaques was so bad and busy and had planned to travel back on our selves to stay at Roses. No bloody way was that happening! We very nearly stayed in the carpark over night to put off the journey back. We decided to leave Cadaques and make the 2 and a half hour journey to Berger that day rather than on Saturday. Barcelonan matka
... 8364;. Yölläkin on ihanan lämmintä. Matka Barcelonaan tuntuu iäisyydeltä, ja siellä vielä muutama metropysäkki Cataluniyan asemalle ja sieltä hotelliin. Hotelli on Ramplaksen, kävelykadun, päässä sivukadulla, heti ensimmäinen katu metroasemalta. Vaikka on yö, kello noin 2, ihmisiä on valtavasti liikkeellä ja baareja ja ravintoloita edelleen auki. Ostamme pitaleivät, koska olemme syöneet viimeksi Suomessa aamupalat ja menemme hotellille. Olemme nyt ilmeisesti vanhoja, ...
