On our walk from the beach to the metro we happened across some kind of street festival with all these groups dressed up in colour themed outfits with a band and dancers/paraders and they would approach a cross intersection and perform and then move onto the next one and the next group would come and take over ...

    ... one girl wanted to go to the Burberry store and she told us it was around the corner so we all went. Come to find out it was not around the corner in the Las Ramblas it was ten blocks away. I was a tad bit irritated but then we walked through Armani and I got over it.

    Some girls went to the icebar and I wanted to go but I was extremely tired so I just stayed at the hotel, but I didn't even go to sleep until two.

    Had dinner tonight at Sesamo's - the vegetarian restaurant recommended by Mac and Linds/Mel. Excellent meal including a smoked watermelon gazpacheo, pasta in a wonderful mushroom sauce and for dessert figs soaked in brandy. And oh course, the required bottle ...

    ... great. After dinner we decided to have a quiet night and I was pretty happy to do this as I am still feeling sick, sinus infection, chest infection, sore throat ahh fun times. We had a free day in Barcelona to do whatever we wanted. We did a walking tour in the morning with our tour manager Alex, the first tour he has guided us on. It was really interesting and he has a really good way of giving information without it being too boring. We visited a few of the local churches and ...
