... at different times of the day.

Walked back past the Washington Monument stopping at the World War 2 Memorial on our way to the White House. White House view was the same as last night except there were more people. Walked all the way around the large block containing the White House, The Old Executive Building and the Treasury. It is hard to know which is the front and which is the back of the White House and one of the guards says it depends on ...

The US Senate and the House of Representatives meet at the Capitol to introduce legislation, debate issues and vote on bills. The US Capital is located at the eastern end of the National Mall and it took us almost an hour to walk there. The building has been built progressively since 1793, including a rebuild after the British torched it in 1814. The original design ...

This morning we woke up early for an exciting day of meetings with different members in the three branches of government. Our first stop was a meet and greet with Tennessee's Senators. We were invited to the "Tennessee Tuesday" breakfast where we were able to meet Senator Bob Corker and Senator Lamar Alexander. Due to our excitement we were the first ones to get our pictures made with them. Senator Corker asked us who we were and where we were from. We ...
