    DAY 10

    Well after a late night arrival I was finally up from sleep to the sound of ocean waves and the sun beating down on my brow. In a word I was in paradise. I went to the beach hut hang out located directly next to my hut and ordered an ice cold Tuborg beer. Have to say it went down a treat! And as I looked around surveying the beauty that was around me, I'd finally found that sense of peace ...

    ... and the water is clean and warm, it felt more like a jacuzzi than the sea. I can see why this is a popular tourist destination. Russians especially seem to love it as almost all restaurants translate their menus into Russian. I haven't seen too many tourists in India but this place is full of them. Not quite the real India perhaps but I would still highly recommend coming here.

    ... drew back my curtain and settled down to watch and listen all that was going on. And it was actually quite a lot. Do you know, Indian folks seem to have no concept of living quietly. As soon as one awoke, whatever time it was, they just started talking to their neighbours, friends etc.

    I was interested when at about 5.15am, an Indian guy walked up to one of the compartments, spoke to the occupants and got off the train, followed by three more guys in rapid succession. ...

    ... like 1400 which is so expensive when you compare it to all over transport in India. That’s the problem with Goa, it’s such a holiday destination that to anyone who’s just flying in for a 2 week holiday and comparing it to European prices it’s pretty cheap so they’re willing to pay.
