... at this time. This was quite a lot but since there were no other taxis or tuk-tuks it was either this or walking. We arrived in Baga which is supposed to be one of the most popular beaches of Goa, and it was!

The beach wasn’t as dirty as in Anjuna and it had a lot of more to offer than Anjuna concerning the accommodation. After walking for a while we found a hotel called Sunset Cottages where they originally wanted to charge us IR 850 per night but we tried ...

... our hostel later that day and were all rather tired from the trip. So that evening we headed out for some more quiet drinks. On the way back from the beach walking along past some closed up shops, we encountered some local guard dogs. They were very aggressive and chased us up the beach barking as if they were going to bite. This was rather scary and even the boys were a bit shook ...

      DAY 10

Well after a late night arrival I was finally up from sleep to the sound of ocean waves and the sun beating down on my brow. In a word I was in paradise. And as I looked around surveying the beauty that was around me, I'd finally found that sense of peace ...

... and the water is clean and warm, it felt more like a jacuzzi than the sea. I can see why this is a popular tourist destination. Russians especially seem to love it as almost all restaurants translate their menus into Russian. I haven't seen too many tourists in India but this place is full of them. Not quite the real India perhaps but I would still highly recommend coming here.

system with lots of UV lights. We joined
the local Indian men and a few other hippy westerners in throwing some dubious
shapes to some old trance music. These
northern areas of Goa have their fair share of aging rockers and 70’s hippy
types that seem to drink 24 hours a day while trying to hold on to their
youth. Us young un’s couldn’t keep up so
at 2.30am we called it a night and turned down ...
