    ... drives of the Black Hills - Needles Highway and Iron Mountain Road. Although there were stunning views and fun rocks to drive through, I'm no longer impressed by windy, hilly roads.     ... each side. We did not get to see that, but it felt tight to us with the truck. Peg says "the roads would make a snake dizzy” due to the curves and switchbacks.

    ... and heavy winds. Whilst we managed to avoid the more dangerous parts of the storms warnings, we did encounter very heavy rain whilst driving through Iowa and Minnesota. In fact, it rained for the entire 7 hour drive; of course, the upside to this is that the windscreens are now clear of dead bugs!

    ... Lilly and the stallion's name is Copper. The acreage has a pond in the middle and we walked around the pastures among the horses as she introduced us to each one – what a great feeling.     ... br> Monday morning 11th May arrived. The snow has stopped although the wind is still blowing slightly. The conditions means we can take the rubbish over to the bins, walk over to the showers without worry and of course attempt to build a little snowman.
