... dead beat town but it does have a nice B&B and a convenient little supermarket to stock up with supplies. Some of the towns we passed on the way in (including Trois Ponts and Vielsalm) were stunning. They reminded me of a combination of the Rocky Mountains and Southern France. There are some amazing birds to be seen as well (both literally and metaphorically). Dad would be in his element.

The concrete soon ended and it became a slightly muddy downhill path through the forest. Definitely a 4wd only path. When Malmedy came into view out ride arrived & we pilled into the Range Rover for the short trip to drop me off four hours after the Grand Prix ended. Patrick, Juan and Mark arrived back an hour later after a €40 taxi ...

... nobody but the four of us got on the bus and only locals were on it. Back in Malmedy, with bad French we ordered beers at a tavern to take advantage of Malmedy's free public wifi (there's something wrong with the hostel's wifi). With more bad French we had baguettes and ice cream for dinner (at two different places, beer and food and don't seem to be regularly sold together). The sandwich maker spoke Spanish so Juan was ...
