Room 801 was our room. As we entered the room there was a very strong smell of smoke from a previous occupant, not good as our Tour Director requested non-smoking rooms for ALL of us.

This time we do have a king size bed, not two beds put together. The bathroom is roomy with a bath and shower. Air conditioning works and works well too, we liked the way the windows opened also.

They have three lifts, breakfast and dinner dining on the fifteenth floor with gorgeous views and a bar on the ground floor. Both are very nice and quite modern.

Friends on the ninth floor had a rude shock when one of them went to have s shower, her towel had mildew over it!!!

A big travel day for us crossing four borders and travelling a total of 211 miles (340kms). The higher mountains had a fresh layer of snow overnight and the air was quite nippy and visibility was poor. Kurt filled us in on a few Swiss facts as we were …

... water. The boats on the lake are all electric to preserve the cleanliness and peacefulness of the area. At one point on the trip the guide gets his trumpet out, and plays a tune next to the cliffside called the Echowand, and depending on the weather the notes echo one or two times - all very funky ...

Today was another day where plans fell through, Brendan nearly died and we ended up freezing at a bus stop in the middle of nowhere- but not all was lost.

We decided a trip into the Austrian Alps would be a nice break from the buzz of Salzburg. I suggested the Lammer Geoge, an hour bus ...

On our second day, Barb and I went into the salt mine. It was well below ground and we got to wear these sexy white overall outfits. There was an underground lake and 2 huge slides and we slid down. To top it off we once again crossed the border into Germany but this time in an underground mine/ tunnel... you don’t get to say that often. In the afternoon we watched the All Whites play Italy. I had escaped Italy for the game, which seemed just ...

So all he had to listen to all day long was the sound of me singing 'doe a deer a female deer, rae a drop of golden sun'.... even ...
