Watched several people in canoes go down this river, there was a type of weir at edge & several people fell out, walked up to the castle stopping at the old draw bridge as it is now a home for a few brown bears & one came out to play, the village is on 2 banks of the river, streets are narrow & cobbled, lovely to see.

Our second home exchange was in southern Bavaria about 125 kilometres from Munich for 2 weeks. Penny joined us in a large house set in an equally large wooded garden. ... not often available and a veal schnitzel would cost around €50. Free time in the afternoon. Would have liked to have done the hop on, hop off S of M bus ride or the train up to the castle, or the Mozart Museum, but needed to go back to the Christmas shop we passed in the morning to get a nativity. Most of them were German made and when I asked if they had any Austrian scenes, the lady asked why I didn't like the German ones. Told her I had one from Germany ...

    Gidday from Grein, Austria.

We have a nice room with a view of the Danube River in the town square. Not bad!

Awake early and Annette is back to normal. Started bossing me around at 6:30am this morning and it has not long stopped. I put that down to the huge meal with dessert that she has consumed this evening.

We decided to take breakfast in the Linz Town Square this morning. So we jumped on with bikes ...
