Update for the inbetween bits
Following the night in Bratislava it was a 24-hr of contrasts. We decided to head to Brno and Budweis (the latter being home to the real unamerican Budweiser) in the Czech Rep. Worst roads ever. The weather also turned which made things tricky but we saw some of the best lightning forks ever.
Moulin Rouge looked good in Brno, but we decided to eat some salami rolls instead of paying (literally) a visit. In Budjevice ...
Seamless Slovakia!! and erm, erm Pants!!!
... only real thing of note in Slovakia is that we skirted around the outside of Bratislava and crossed the mighty River Danube as it was flowing east from Vienna to Budapest which is our next destination.
Finally, as we skirted around the west of Bratislava I counted that we passed 4 Tesco Extra stores. So it looks like they really are trying to take over the world!!!

... systems and the history of the Town Hall as a building, its use by the nobles and stuff like that. And I think there was something about invasions of Slovakia, but it wasn't riveting information. I had the shlits a bit that day though, so had to make a detour to the facilities on the way out. Cara and Joshy had to wait for me in the courtyard. As I expected, this is so weird! I'm walking around in this beautiful city, which is still sortof 'my' city, even though I couldn't believe that when I was studying here. Sadly, I'm just visiting this time. But it still feels good!

Back in the motherland
... Petra cooked for us, it was time for me to get my things together and fly to Slovakia. Since I had 12 hours between my flight back from Bratislava to London, Zuzi and Petra kindly offered to pick me up from the Standsted airport (there are 4 in “London” and by the end of my trip in Europe I had traversed through three) so I could see them again and have a 3 hour nap before getting up to go to Heathrow to fly home.
