... chicken in a creamy local sauce and I had bryndzove halusky so slaninou (little dumplings about the size of a pea made from potato dough mixed with a kind of sheep's cheese). Bryan had a couple of local beers and I had a couple of borovickas (local spirit distilled from juniper berry). It was nice - but it was hard to get service, then hard to get and pay the bill. ... a gorgeous pale blue church, that looks more like it would be at home in Barcelona among Gaudi’s works, than in an Eastern European capital. It was worth the stop and both of us mentioned its colour, architecture and charm might have boosted it to the top of our favourite churches list.
