138 Ferny Avenue Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, 4217, 7-5579-3888

Early ferry back to mainland. Back to bus, and starting to get sick of living on the bus during the day and ferries. Stopped for lunch in Noosa. My first surfer spotting! I can't wait to get in the water and surf with them! We had an hour in Noosa for lunch, not enough time. Found the food court (a lil confusing and distracting with all the shopping stores around) ate and headed down to the beach to chill before it was time to get back on the bus.
Continued on to Brisbane. Really wish...
The plan was to wake up early and hit the waves. Only it was a lil chilly so ate breakfast at the hotel instead. They had the BEST pancake maker ever! All you do is press the button and it makes you 2 pancakes, perfectly cooked. Also been craving pancakes so was great to get some finally.
Headed to the beach, and just sat there people watching. Did some shopping. Back to hotel for my hour Harley Davidson Ride. Loved the motocycle. Felt so free. Wasn't until we hit the first red light ...
We went to the Gold Coast for a vacation on the Summer of 2006. It was an awesome trip. Something worth remembering. Along with my family, we stayed at the Surfers Paradise Hotel. We had so much fun because our apartment was right in front of the beach. The joy about it was that everyone was new to Australia and we were going bezerk at the stores, the amusement parks and the sites. It was amazing!!
Surfers Paradise, Australia camille_18
... to explain, and quite beguiling. Well, we had a long ways to go, it was raining, and the sight of the skyscrapers on the beach to the north scared us, so we jumped on the highway and made a bline north headed towards the next coast, called Frasers. In between we were able to view Brisbane as we drove past (it looked quite nice) and a lot of miles with green scenery and rolling landscapes sometimes looking like northern michigan and sometimes looking like nowhere we'd been before.
Tweed Heads, Australia jenandjeffmilum... style * Kate running into the middle of a dark field using flashing lights and shouting coooo-iees whilst waving down Toot and Deb's kombi, it turned out to be the wrong kombi van and some very scared hippies emerged to greet the crazy woman shouting welcome greetings to them. * Cat Crew's night time debauchery with the sacred Coleman vessel of fruit punch * Performing Arts moves on the ...
Gold Coast, Australia inoursuitcase... Day 1, the grilled barramundi fish with beer battered fries. In the morning, as I was eating my cereal I saw a Rugby commercial for a game tonight and I thought, "I've never been to a rugby match and I'm not exactly in Australia all the time." So I said, maybe I'll try to go tonight. After lunch, I talked with some guy (JJ, I don't know his damn name... that's the thing, over here ...
Brisbane, Australia jontheman... Ashes hype from the terribly one-sided press. All quite amusing which will make victory that much sweeter. I finally arrived in Brizzy at 8pm on the Wednesday where I met up with Wigan Rob and Handsome Chris who I'd met on the Pakistan and Indian tours (in fact they hadn't been home since India in April so we had a few stories to catch up on). We went down the Pig'n'Whistle pub which unfortunately was the ...
Woolloongabba, Brisbane, Australia dazzla... that we were surrounded by the furry critters. The guy made us feel more at ease about the whole thing and they're actaully quite friendly little creatures if you've got food for them. The only real problem was that me and the moose chaser had flip flops on and they'd creep up on you and think your toes were food but luckily managed not to get nipped. It was good fun watching the koreans getting bitten and scratched though. After such an eventfull evening we headed back to ...
