... med flotte nytårshatte og dækket et flot nytårsbord med servietter og partypoppers. Vi nød alle en rigtig lækker middag med mørbradbøffer, tilbehør, vin og cola.

... skrive dagbog. Silje fik dog hurtigt "solgt”
opvasken til Kristian, da hun fandt sig en legekammerat; Asha fra Baron Bay. De
hyggede sig med at køre rundt på campingpladsen på løbehjul og skateboard og
kom engang imellem forbi autocamperen, når vi skulle oversætte sproget.

Vi hyggede os resten af aftenen i autocamperen, inden
børnene blev puttet, og vi fik drøftet, hvilke vingårde vi skulle besøge i
morgen, inden det blev sengetid for os.

... errands in town. We had to cash our toll road tag in and visit Jenny from the bank to deposit our coins from our change jar. Jay was in the RTA renewing his driving licence, he is a real character, he was sitting waiting for his turn, no shoes on and uncombed hair hidden under a cap. ... Anyway 30 minutes later than we intended we turned of the main road - which had by then become a conventional motorway and began exploring the back roads of the lower Hunter valley on our way to Pete's ridge and then beyond toour first stop at Wollombi.
