    ... That weekend, John and Julia came over to visit us. They arranged to visit before the cyclone and were determined to not back out - the return of tourism is the main thing needed here now.     ... fun atmosphere, I knew this would be the best holiday of my life, and I was right!
    Waking up to the glistening ocean and bright sunshine reflecting off the ocean, it was a gift from God.

    ... bad as you had to bend double to move about, it's a wonder they didn't all have permanent bad backs, or perhaps they did. We then did a quick tour round the Shackleton exhibition. A very interesting couple of hours all together.
    Finished off our day by watching the firework display from our room. A nice finish to our visit to Sydney. Early to bed as our flight to Cairns is at 6am.

    ... sleep except every so often we were woken by the sound of an aeroplane entering the room! Turns out we were just on the flight route before landing at Sydney airport. It did sound like they were in the room with us though it was so loud. Monday Today we headed in to Sydney. We found a free car park near the motel so we parked the van and caught the train in to Sydney. The first thing I got excited about was the double decker trains.
