Yesterday I set off from Paola for what was to be my final day's ride about 140 miles. I decided to go to Capo Vaticano for lunch. Again I was thwarted by the local caribinieri as every road I tried to get to my lunch destination was closed. As I was heading back to the main road, I heard a terrible sound coming from under my scooter. ...
... a little big for me, though.
-----But, for now, I had places to go.
-----I boarded a ferry headed for Tunisia.

... Bingo. Damn...apparently number 9 is NOT my all time lucky number. Off I went to the slot tournament. The prize there was $500. Okay, so Bingo isn't really my game...but slots...now that's right up my alley. As you can see in the photo of the tally board after my turn, I'm placed third and the top 6 get into the final. I returned an hour later....and I'm no longer in third place...nor fourth, fifth or sixth. I'm out of the running. Just as I was last week. But, ...
... climbing the Starks to our hotel room. We hung around until dinner, then we went down to the Port (the waterfront), to find some food. We had dinner at this really nice restaurant, that served lots of seafood and lots of pasta! I had fresh pasta with crab. It was really good, and the waiter said I was the best at speaking Italian out of all of us (never letting them forget that!). We had desert, tiramisu, then we went back to the hotel and went to sleep. Bye!
