    ... cool! We continued our
    walk along and came onto a main thoroughfare. The gelato bars are so
    tempting! But lunch should be first.... Then gelato!!! The main
    drag came out into a square and we found an actual seat in the shade
    that looked over the water. We need to keep stopping as it is a very hot
    and dry day. Supposed to reach 27!! Thankfully the winds are very
    soothing and refreshing. We started smelling pizzas and pastas and got hungry straight away!! ...

We also visited the Rialto bridge (oldest bridge in Venice at 400 years old, and fairly large), and took the lift to the top of the bell tower back at San Marco (nice to not have to climb steps, as that wasn't an option) for some good views, and then a gondola ride around a few canals before dinner.
