      ... we booked, and fortunately as a lone girl was waiting to check us in and then left!

      As a matter of fact it wasn't a hostel strictly speaking, rather it was an appartment with three bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and the common areas shared. Everything was free so wa had our pick! And as we had gotten there at about 7:00 PM, we dropped off our backpacks and headed straight out to explore the city in the last lights of the day.

      ... instead of letting it go to waste. The main attraction on the island was a salt lake in the middle, which was “so warm to swim in”. When am I going to stop falling for that line? The water was freezing!! So I spent the day lying on in the sun on a nice flat rock, reading, napping and watching the fish swim by - no loss there.
