... Republic. We were supposed to be on the train headed to the Czech Republic, but instead, we woke up in Poland. I was trying remain calm and process what to do. Meanwhile, Emma is freaking out because she didn't have any of her possessions with her. No wallet, no passport, no way to get in contact with anyone, no shoes. Thank goodness I brought my purse with me, even after Emma questioned me for using it as a pillow.

... of the head. I had tried earlier to learn a few words or phases in Polish but not only could not remember them, but could not even pronounce them. The Polish language is at best, an enigma to me.

So the bike trip begins. Deck out in my "Monkey versus Bananas" cycling outfit I am ready to go. Sometimes I wondered why people were looking at me funny. Originally I was thinking it was because it was strange to see a biker on certain roads. Then I realized it was the giant monkey face on my shirt!

I planned to start before 8:00 but slept a bit longer than I wanted (which is a good thing) and then I had to eat breakfast. I hope the guest did not think I was ...
