... According to 'See Mallorca': The journey to Sa Calobra is as memorable as the bay itself. A twisting road around Puig Major plunges 800m in just 12km, turning 270 degrees at one point to loop under itself (a feature known as the 'Knotted Tie'). A much better and easier approach is by boat from Port de Soller, passing genuinely isolated bays with an excellent view of Puig Major, albeit spoilt by the military installations on the summit of Mallorca's ...
A couple hills and a coffee stop, not much to report today aside from another lovely day of riding. We passed many an almond tree, one of Mallorca's key products along with lemons, oranges and apricots. The coffee stop in Bunyola coincided with their feast day for their patron Saint Mateu. Song, dance, piñata-like activities for the kids, and a a parade through town with bagpipes for all the villagers was quite the sight, and it looked like everyone was ...

Not doing too much today – we're basically waiting for the right winds to take us to Menorca.
Wandered around the town a bit more, provisioning and looking for a laundrette. Strangely enough they have laundry services but no auto mats which is quite annoying to say the least. ...

We've been lucky the last couple of anchorages with no mozzies at sunset, but that was not
to be the situation here. So it's down below, battening down the hatches and putting the anti mozzie gadgets on – which appear to work.
