... miraculously we made it to the flagpole! a bright flag of Catallan red and yellow fluttered above us. Back down in the town we followed the river and admired the freshly tilled allotments. An ancient irrigation system of pipes would allow each farmer to flood his patch for a carefully regulated length of time, and the labyrinth of mounds and furrows suggested the old boys were still using this system, which seems like a fast and intensely thirst ...
... for the monastery, aiming to stay ahead of the crowds for as long as possible. It is hard for anything actually man made to lay claim on the awe of a natural sight that looks man made. ... when in Barcelona (thankfully).
I loved being in Barcelona.. I could just feel the vibrant life pulsating everywhere. Diverse culture in all eyes I made contact with, it is a rich melting pot of all types. Many of those types being young bohemian minds with heavy passions for style, fun and life. A colorful city with tons of art, music, amazing food, beautiful people and smiles... It was exciting and contagious.
