Day 3, 4
Day 3 I wasn't traveling at all, I was busy working, However on the forth day I managed to go to a town not far from Barcelona called Lloret de Mar. It is a new town located just near the seashore, with wonderful forests at the same time. There are a lot of hotels there for every type of traveler.

... I can improve! It´s weird starting from a really low base again, the same as with my spanish in Madrid. Time´s going quickly now, and I can´t believe my first week´s over already.
At the weekend I might go into Barcelona with some other trainees or maybe go swimming as there´s a pool in granollers. Got my first assignment to do as well, seems a bit tricky but I think I´ll be able to handle it. Anyway, I hope you´re all doing well!
... to see for ourselves.
Tossa was just as they had described it – a lovely beach in a large bay with a castle on the peninsula. The weather was lovely as we explored the town and found a restaurant behind the castle wall to have lunch, where Alison got to taste paella at last. She enjoyed the meal – although she had to admit the paella she had ...
cerca!
desp escribo desde la muralla!
... like waking up in a bus that had driven into the middle of a fairy tale! Besalu is this awesome little town which was designated Spanish national property in 1966. There was a beautiful bridge that was utilized a lot during the middle ages (for a profit of course). When we went over the gorgeous bridge, we visited the church of Sant Pere which was inaugurated in 1003. This place was beautiful! Very much a part of Catalunya, as were all the places we ...
Girona, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands aspinmaster... to completion. Amazing place. Full concrete factory inside the church and spending around 1 million euro per month on construction (but bringing in 50M Euro pa from tourists)
Sitting on the balcony now having caviar, beer and cheese with my sister and wife....does not get much better than this for our annivesary!!!
... town is on a hill with windy, narrow streets. It is filled with small cafes. I go to one that has tables just below a monument that is lit. Menu is in Catalan. Some similarity to Spanish but different enough that I only catch a few words. In some places, I have found that on a buildings, they will have both Spanish and Catalan. I think my waiter gives up on me. It is 30 minutes before someone takes my order (not my waiter). No apologies.
Girona, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands will.traveller... with looks and personality) it failed. We tried our luck with the next group of people who happened to be all boys. Finally we had some friends. We united this group of boys with the group of girls we attempted to meet and made a super party with alcohol, shesha, sunset. However, the party was short lived because the girls were ugly.
Santa Susanna, Catalonia, Spain chris_jones01... busted into a campsite to enjoy some free entertainment. We danced like fools amongst people on family holidays. After taking it up a peg and getting up on stage the DJ started to play happy birthday!!!! unfortunately no one joined in due to a lack of popularity gained from dancing offensively and clearing the dance floor by smelling really really bad. Although all was good because a group of mums asked olly to take his top off.
Santa Susanna, Catalonia, Spain chris_jones01... The view of the local farmland (including sunflower and tree farms) from our room and the restaurant terrace was breathtaking. Finally, we found a place befitting Katie's "princess" status. After getting settled, we took a walk along a small path through a garden and wooded area adjacent to the hotel. We stopped to rest at a clearing overlooking the countryside. It was stunningly romantic setting, and we had it all to ourselves. While we sat ...
