On Weds night we watched a photo presentation which was put together from a mix of everyone's photos, which was really nice.

100 hatchlings, 5 turtles, 2 rays and a swamp eel!
... all have to chip in. The bread didn't turn out particularly well, but I have now been officially named as the flapjack queen! (Yes I'll make you all some when I get back!).
Our days start at 7.00am when we have duties. This includes either kitchen duties (ie making breakfast & cleaning the kitchen) or grounds duties (raking the sand to stop sand flies breeding, sweeping, emptying the poo bags etc!). The two huts alternate the duties each ...

There are 7 of us newbies altogether, and alas my fear came true, the ages ranged from 18 to 27! However I was very relieved to hear that there were 2 older ladies who had already been on the island for 4 weeks and were staying for another 4! Yay! ... visjes onder de boot te zien. Daarna nog ff op klein eilandje aan het strand gespeeld. Er was ook een ander stel mee met twee meisjes van dezelfde leeftijd. Hun jongste dochter was nog net geen jaar en heette ook Lara, heel toevallig. De beiden Lara's waren op de terugreis erg moe en vielen beiden in slaap, zo schattig. Even later vielen ook Tess en het andere meisje in slaap. Leuk voor Tess om met leeftijdgenootje te spelen, taalbarrieres bestaan dan gewoon niet. ...

... vleerhonden en tig muggen (vooral Tamara moet het ontgelden). Hierna doen we wat souveniers shoppen en lunchen en nemen taxi terug. De middag spenderen we in het zwembad en na Lara haar middagslaap op het strand. Lara kan trouwens lopen!! Echt super leuk hoe ze rond loopt :) en ze heeft ook eindelijk haar eerste tandje gekregen. Morgen staat een tochtje met een glass bottom boot op het programma, kunnen de meiden ook visjes kijken ...
