Got to Auckland, and saw quite a bit on day one, by foot! I walked through the city, starting at Queen Street, the quay, then went by Albert Park, the University, the Auckland Domain, and then walked to Mount Eden which was awesome to walk up, and the views were great! Cows were even along the walk, to greet you as going along. Lots of neat plants in bloom right now too. The weather wasn't great in the morning, but got better as the day went on.
Auckland, North Island, New Zealand alyttleBlog Auckland So the last day in Osaka was filled in glamourous style - checking out as late as possible and then lunch in a truly 'authentic' restaurant under a railway bridge. Cheap and traditional yes, but whether Sarah was appreciating that to the full when her noodles with thinly sliced and still moving fish skin appeared is another question. We hopped on board the Salad Express Bus (yes, seriously) to Osaka airport and arrived long before our check-in opened with yet more time to kill. ...
Auckland, North Island, New Zealand graeme_sarahWe are now in Auckland and cannot get over that we are very much on the other side of the world from home. My dad use to come here for 3 hour business meetings to just turn round and go all the way back to Denmark again and this scenario would take a whole week! We were just discussing at our evening meal that now a days we are so lucky that everything can be done online; sorting out our building project at home, checking bank accounts, sending mails and keeping contact. Amazing how modern te...
Auckland, New Zealand lctdPoistuttiin Tongalta siis maanantai aamuna, taaskin sellasella ruohonleikkurin kokoisella flygarilla.
Auckland, North Island, New Zealand miiajussi Now in Auckland NZ. Flight over was very long, but the travel pods made it much easier than normal for me. I had my pod in "bed" mode for most of the 14 hour flight, as did most of my fellow passengers. Lots on on-board entertainment available, but I didn't watch much. Mostly napped in 1-2 hour segments. Arrival time was 5am, so airport was unusually quiet.
Took the shuttle into city and my hotel. Kind of woozy from the jet lag, but managed to stay awake the whole day. Weather was cool...

... her by the visitor info center without acting like I had been there before, but the girls at the visitor center start laughing when I arrive and act as it was my first time at the visitor center. Kristin instantly knows my game and asks "how long has he been here?" It is a good laugh for everyone.

Although we originally wanted to get a camper with a shower and toliet, we get a great offer ...
Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand 90daywalkabout... landing -he is going to open the window and wave - we may have to wave a scarf or something. I have just looked at Yerevan time, and it is about 2pm, so this time next week we will be flying high as they say. We will have been traveling or at Airports for near 30hours, but no worries, we are young and fit:):)I am getting the hang of this Blog site, and feel by next Sat, I should be able ...
Auckland, North Island, New Zealand mablim... games and out to hit the town. A couple of Pierres friends limped out early despite having bigged up their drinking abilities earlier, but 5 of us carried on until later. I'd made Pierre some stupid cardboard Stag horns to wear and they got him a lot of attention - making Helen, his Bride-to-be jealous when she saw the pictures! We also had him doing some stupid dares - kissed by a barmaid (cheek), slapped on bum by bloke (gay ...
Auckland, North Island, New Zealand dawolf... the people Stu lives and works with. (Stu has his own company for conference and event-planning (www.corporateeventsguide.co.nz) and runs it from the house.) We met Tony (one of the co-owners), Mark (who lives in the house), Sharon (works for Stu and Tony) and Candi, Sharon's daughter (who also works for them sometimes). And of course I can't forget the two canine residents, Chloe and Buddy. Within an hour - no time to allow any jet-lag kick in - me, Flooze, Stu, Tony and ...
Auckland, North Island, New Zealand siana... It is a pity I don't have the time, else I would have been there just for the view of their beaches. Haha. 05 Feb Arrived at Auckland international at 1215 local time, I breeze passed the immigration smoothly than expected. Not much question asked and the lady is friendly. All the shops are close except for MacDonald, a small arcade, a moneychanger and a general store. There are also a number of travelers who just as I am are ...
