Arrived!
Got to Auckland, and saw quite a bit on day one, by foot! I walked through the city, starting at Queen Street, the quay, then went by Albert Park, the University, the Auckland Domain, and then walked to Mount Eden which was awesome to walk up, and the views were great! Cows were even along the walk, to greet you as going along. Lots of neat plants …
Day 29 - NZ
Time to take Rawi Rawi back, thank you for not breaking down on us!! So now we don't have a van feels a bit odd but we checked into the Hotel and had a wonder round the City, Auckland is a big city and the Sky Tower is huge, we watched a few crazy people jump off the tower on a zip wire, not for us we've done our crazy jump and that was enough!! …
On our way to NZ
After spending 4 hours outside of Cairns airport, luckily it was a warm night! Caught the 6am flight to Brisbane. Needless to say we didn't sleep much on the bench. Woman on flight decided to spill boiling hot coffee all over herself - that was the in-flight entertainment! Then a 4 hour wait at Brisbane for our flight to Auckland. Arrived in …
Kelly Tarlton
Kelly Tarltons is an Antarctic underwater world just outside of Auckland. Friends have recommended it to us. You can catch a free shuttle bus from CBD...the bus looks like a shark – so you can't miss it.

Just as …

The next day is an early start, I get to the bus station for for …

So far so good...

We booked a studio via booking.com and it was great. We had stayed at Metro Suites previously and the inside was similar....here we just didn't have any views....only the carpark....but it was quite a bit cheaper. The kitchen was fine - fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave and 2 plates on the hob. The bathroom was a huge walk in shower. We had a seating area and big bed comfortable bed. It was very quiet at night. Also had free access to a gym and pool around the corner. Would recommend
