We booked a studio via booking.com and it was great. We had stayed at Metro Suites previously and the inside was similar....here we just didn't have any views....only the carpark....but it was quite a bit cheaper. The kitchen was fine - fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave and 2 plates on the hob. The bathroom was a huge walk in shower. We had a seating area and big bed comfortable bed. It was very quiet at night. Also had free access to a gym and pool around the corner. Would recommend

The weather was in and out all day: sunny, then cloudy, then misty, then drizzly, then thundering, then sunny again. Before arriving in the city we had a stop up a hill at the Michael Joseph Savage Memorial (NZ's first Labour...
