ZERMATT TO LONDON

A travel blog entry by nancya on Oct 08, 2014

Alas we are leaving Switzerland, it is a glorious sunny morning so the Matterhorn was very visible and glowing in the early morning light. We are in the train to Visp where we connect with the train to Geneva. As we move away from Zermatt the clouds close in. From Visp 2 1/2 hours to Geneva airport passing through small towns and larger ones like Montreux, Lausanne and ...

Actually the express was a disappointment because the scenery was very familiar like much of BC ...

their dogs. Wow; I wonder how they dress when they go out somewhere serious. I stayed
for dinner and it made for a very pleasant people watching evening.

... for dinner. I cannot help but describe the restaurant decor before going on....the wall as you enter is made up of birch logs with the bark included and the partition between dinners across the room was again birch logs on end with a few inches of space between each. How clever! Our dinner was the best yet. Shar had a breaded chickedish with fries and I had a rosti with bacon on top as well as slivers of dried cured ham with a cheese that tasted like Morbier and ...
