... At one point we had to take a ski lift that required you to stand while being dragged along by a rope. Yeo went first and completely wiped out, it was really funny and all the Italians were yelling at him. Then I went and did the exact same thing. It was so embarrassing but hilarious, everyone was laughing. It ended up taking us three times to get the hang of it. After that, we went to the highest point in the ski resort, which was almost 14,000 ft ...

... it did.

Waiting at the bottom with Sam and Amandine, were our beautiful French family - Bernie, Corinne, Baptiste and Cappucine, who had driven to Chamonix to spend the afternoon with us and say final goodbyes. It was so good to see them again! A good friend of mum's, Lesley, arrived about 10 minutes later to see us as well as she lives in nearby Val d'lsere. We were delighted to see everyone and all went to a restaurant for a celebratory lunch. We were starving after ...

... small frozen leaves, twigs and insects in the walls which have probably been there for thousands of years! INCREDIBLE. We did all breathe a sigh of relief once we had climbed back up the 430 stairs and had our feet back on solid ground!!

When we were back at the top, there was an almighty thunderous echo all around us, which was a small avalanche on the other side of the valley and most of us saw it rolling down ...
