He took a glance to the heavens and shook his head, No No!, not today, come back tomorrow!

We took a drive up the road. It was basically free of cyclists bar a few crazy souls, one guy was trying to descend and basically slowing to a stop at the hairpins, to avoid sliding out. The poor bugger had 21 hairpins to deal with to make the bottom unscathed.

In the hope of getting out of the bad weather of Les Deux Alpes, we headed for our next stop near Lac De Paladru, unfortunately we didn't, if anything the weather was worse with almost constant rain for the 2days we stayed, we were still recovering from our bugs so we again spent most of our time in the van..

We left site just after 3pm, within ...

By the half way point the climb began to get steeper, swinging between 8 and 10%, and a light rain began to fall. Now that I was ...
