... mainly up and down 100- 200 foot climbs, finding them do-able on the whole as long as no-one decides to cross the road on the many zebra crossings right in front of you so you have to stop.
Spending tonight in the Formula 1 hotel in Bayonne (no suitable camping spots), where the Bike Bus dropped us off outside of on Sunday morning. Bottom a little sore this morning but not too bad.

I heard a young girl mention at the table next door that she was worried about the 'ashes' in her bag as she busily rummaged through the backpack. Turns out they are the ashes of her german shepherd. ... show up. Lunch was nice i grabbed some cheese and the crackers off the plane and sat down by the stream going through the centre of the town. I also went and got some food for the start tomorrow. The apples, cheese, nuts are obviously easily identifiable however the soup and the crackers could prove to be a lucky dip. ... looked like the grandparents. French are sterotyped as rude but i think they are just open and forward. The young boy i have got to say ' he has a talent' i have never heard ******* like it. The mother was trying to get him to apologise and stop it but grandad wouldn't have anything of it, there was laughter and almost a 'you beauty and here cheers' every time this kid let one rip.
