... upon a very well preserved 'Bastide' built in 14C by the local bishop and nobleman. The small road goes right through the centre street and covered market. The town walls remain, and many old timbered houses line the main street. We had refreshment in a restaurant with 1593 carved over the doorway. Exhausted when we got home, we hope the Jones are fit for their cycling trip in ...

Wow, it's hard to believe that we're here at the beginning of the Camino Santiago in St. Jean Pied du Pont, France (Basque). back. A really warm welcome from Gwen and Claire and a surprise of
baby Rabbits and a near complete terrace. It's massive and like a

cuddles with the kids and Eloise the Lamb. We started up with curing
(well, starting the process) some pork belly and eventually once the
    kids were down had ...

last couple of weeks have been very relaxed as we have become more
set in our temporary home. The building of the terrace really takes
shape which is exciting and and more and more of spring shows! I am
becoming more and more like my Mum as I get excited about all the
flowers blooming! Little Lamb Eloise is doing really well and very
adorable, running over to you (rather than away like the others)

Been Two weeks on since last post and still all going extremely well. It's really nice to be useful, and be kept (lodging) and money taken out of the equation for this short time. Working hard but under no pressure as you might in employment. We have a great working team with all of us, the guys are working hard at getting the big wooden terrace up at the back and I am doing a lot of gardening. Really relaxing actually, I just hope it all lives ...
