That night at dinner I was exceedingly thirsty, I don't know what Sylvia did with her needles but I had five glasses of water at dinner and then another three after wards.     ... I have NEVER seen anything like it in real life. It was honestly the kind of thing you see on the news! There was no turning back now though so we pressed on. The water was half way up the wheels of passing cars, so I was ever so grateful for the super chunky tyres I have on Lily.     This is our last full day on the cruise and decide to make the most of it. Also most of the day trips from Toulon are to places in Provence that we have seen by car. In the morning we take the 20 minute sea shuttle across the harbour to Toulon. Toulon has a naval base and we see a number of naval vessels at berth.     ... we decided to drive on to the lake to check it out. We had seen some pictures of the lake and gorge in tourist leaflets and had assumed that they had been photoshopped as the water was such a turquoise colour but when we first saw it that was exactly the colour it was.     ... because there was a Yorkie at the feet of another couple having dinner in the cafe. Anytime another dog walked by, the Yorkie jumped up and snapped at the other dog, and with a typical French attitude, the Yorkie's owner would get mad at the other dog's owner.
