Stopover en route to Basse gorges du Verdon. Wild camping in the town. We sneaked in a canoe trip in the morning but as we returned the storms were brewing. Just as we left the heavens opened up. Initally a bit sceptical, that quickly vanished when I saw 2 flying overhead as we arrived. Wow. Flamingos everywhere, and apparently not bothered by the 100's of people continually taking pictures. There were other migratory and wetland birds there but.....flamingoes. FINALLY......right place, right time!

... to her for all her help in getting me situated and teaching me the way around here, it was sad to see her go. She's off to Turkey now to meet up with some friends, we'll all miss her around here! From seeing her with people here I have some REALLY big shoes to fill. All the families that have little kids that go to Laura's school absolutely love Kayla. She's a very likable person. I just hope I can fill the shoes!!! She's a hard act to follow.
